Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Wife Have a Girl

Sunday May 07, 2006 6:55pm EST


Mark-Paul Gosselaar, 32, and wife Lisa, 34, welcomed their second child, daughter Ava Lorenn, at noon on Sunday in Los Angeles, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

"Mother, daughter and family are all well," says rep Ame Van Iden.

Gosselaar, a star of ABC's Commander in Chief, and Lisa also have a son, Michael Charles, 2.

The couple met when Lisa had a small role on Saved by the Bell, the show that made Gosselaar famous. They married in 1996.

Gosselaar, a former child star who began modeling at age 5 and hit it big on Bell in 1989, also starred on NYPD Blue.

'NYPD Blue' Star Baby News!


"Saved by the Bell" and "NYPD Blue" star MARK-PAUL GOSSELAAR, 32, is the proud new dad of a baby girl! According to People.com, little AVA LORENN was born to his wife, LISA, at noon on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Mark-Paul, who got his start as the hunky blonde "Zack" on "Saved by the Bell," met Lisa on the spinoff of the after-school series, "Saved by the Bell: The College Years." They were married in 1996. He also played Det. John Clark Jr. on "NYPD Blue" and most recently starred as GEENA DAVIS' special media advisor on the Oval Office drama "Commander in Chief." He and Lisa have a son, MICHAEL CHARLES, 2.

This is so wonderful! I was just talking to my mom about him and that they should be having the baby soon -- I couldn't believe I discussed this with her today and then BAM! here she is!

Congrats to Lisa and Mark-Paul! A wonderful new addition!

Ava Lorenn Gosselaar. That is a beautiful name.

You're totally right, Jen, I forgot about that since our Mother's Day was earlier in the year! That's cool!

I love the name and I'm sure they are thrilled!
